There WILL be Cake

I was recently invited to be on the host committee for Hillel's 85th birthday festivities here in DC. Obviously I was worried there was a significant financial commitment (there is none) or the event would be prohibitively expensive for most people I could recruit to attend (it is free). Now that my financial fears had been allayed, I've agreed to be on the committee I am now in the spreading the word phase of this little project. (This is, after all, the organization that exposed me to the fact that tzedek means justice and the wonders of the overpriced schender, and lest we forget the opportunities Hillel facilitated that allowed me to rub elbows with celebrities including Yehudah Sarna and Avraham Infeld.) Also, I think it is important that you know there will be cake served at the event. So basically, it is a free event featuring cake (and there are other reasons to attend, but I sort of feel like this is most compelling).

See you there. (RSVP online using this handy Google form. Way to go, Hillel, for using a Google form, by the way.)

About Me

My Photo
When I am not busy helping non-profit organizations raise money online to change to the world, I leverage my status as a DC native (and expert Googler) to recommend products, restaurants, recipes, and shops (in addition to other things I find mildly diverting) in my blog, Wild and Crazy Pearl. The photos and witty banter are all mine, and don't belong to my lovely employer. I spend too much money on Itunes and lots of time in Planned Parenthood board meetings. My favorite possession is the cobalt blue Kitchen Aid mixer I used part of my Bat Mitzvah money to buy (it is still going strong). I also enjoy wearing hooded sweatshirts, drinking grapefruit juice, and falling asleep with the TV on.
