TGIF Wrap

My office will be closed tomorrow--which is lovely since I will spend the day with Olivia (possible new photos coming soon)--but I have to admit there is a small part of me that is disappointed since I won't have an excuse to swing by the Juice Joint* (located in the lobby of my office building) and pick up their Friday Wrap. The wrap is basically a breakfast taco but in a wrap format--a spinach tortilla with potatoes, scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and cheese. It sounds pretty basic, but I promise you--it is DELICIOUS.
The Friday Wrap is such a unique experience, I have found myself striking up conversations about it with random office goers in the elevator as we both stand with our brown paper bags filled with breakfast goodness inside, only minutes away from sitting down at our desks and indulging in this Friday ritual. I know of several people who used to work in my building in the past and make special trips back to the Juice Joint on random Fridays, JUST for the wrap. It is that good.I discovered the wrap about a year ago and wished the Juice Joint would add it to their daily
menu...but once I figured out that the Friday Wrap was habit forming, I was grateful that this would help me limit my habit to only once a week (if that). It is also important that you know the Friday Wrap is extremely filling. When you do try one, be prepared to not finish the whole thing and skip lunch. If my office were open tomorrow, I would seriously consider convincing myself that a flour tortilla IS kosher for Passover (which, I am pretty sure it is not) to justify the purchase of the wrap...so to those of you who are not part of the Passover observing community, please stop by The Joint tomorrow and order a wrap in my honor...and report back on your experiences in the comments section of this post.
*The Juice Joint is a local juice shop and cafe serving up healthy, organic, and tasty fair in Washington, DC's central business district. Not only is The Joint delicious and my lunch destination several times a week, it is deserving of its very own blog post. Stay tuned!

I haven't had one of these in so long! I used to get mine every Friday and go straight to my desk and not talk to anyone until I was done. I think I did used to finish mine though :) Remember when we used to get them to make it for us special on Thursdays too, but it got too confusing for the cook, so they put a stop to it? It was probably for the best. I am tempted to ask for my old job back just so I can go to the Juice Joint everyday again!
I agree that Juice Joint is delicious, but I stopped going because of the owner/manager dudes (there are two of them). They are so agressive and borderline nasty that it was no longer worth it to me to buy lunch there when their behavior was anxiety-causing.
The rest of the staff there was great, but not those two.
It's too bad, too, because it really is a yummy place.
