Bizzzaro World Midwestern Twins

The more I learn about Minnesota, the more I love it.

My feelings about my Midwestern home away from home were only bolstered when I had the opportunity to not only celebrate a birthday, Minnesota style, but facilitate an extended interview on the Potomac River with not one, not two, but THREE Minnesotans (and Adam G., who is engaged to a Minnesotan).

Meredith S. H. planned a very fun few days in the District for her parents who were visiting from Minneapolis including a criminology/nautical themed surprise birthday on Wednesday evening (featuring a DELICIOUS banana mascarpone cake by chef EB).

We also managed to squeeze in some quality sailing time with Peter G. and the SH Fam hence my opportunity for the extended interview.

I learned so much more about Minnesota during our sail--but the new facts and stories I gleaned about Parents S. H.'s life stories were even more fabulous.

We discovered that Mr. H. is secretly Peter G.'s bizzzaro world Midwestern twin! They have sort of similar jobs, love sailing, and most importantly were wearing almost matching outfits during our sailing outing!

Lastly, I couldn't resist posting this photo of a small sailor friend we made on the dock of Belle Haven Marina...

So when are you coming to visit again if you love MN so much? You're always welcome at Chez Lewis!

You know MN is the best! I hope you enjoying your time on one of the more than 10,000 lakes we have to offer.

About Me

My Photo
When I am not busy helping non-profit organizations raise money online to change to the world, I leverage my status as a DC native (and expert Googler) to recommend products, restaurants, recipes, and shops (in addition to other things I find mildly diverting) in my blog, Wild and Crazy Pearl. The photos and witty banter are all mine, and don't belong to my lovely employer. I spend too much money on Itunes and lots of time in Planned Parenthood board meetings. My favorite possession is the cobalt blue Kitchen Aid mixer I used part of my Bat Mitzvah money to buy (it is still going strong). I also enjoy wearing hooded sweatshirts, drinking grapefruit juice, and falling asleep with the TV on.
