A Baby Named Olivia Abigail

This weekend, Sarah and Erik hosted our family and friends at their apartment for Olivia's baby naming (a Jewish tradition that officially welcomes a baby into the world and announces her Hebrew name to the community). As is traditional in the Goodstein family, we had our own spin on the rite of passage and also unveiled new lyrics to the Liv Liv Lima Bean* song (also known as Song of Liv) and enjoyed a delicious savory breakfast casserole courtesy of Aunt Reb. Olivia was wrapped in a soft blanket knitted by her Great Grandma Edith and Sarah and Erik announced her Hebrew name, Avigail, after our Grandfather (Olivia's Great Grandfather), Abraham (or Abbey).

*My friend Meg N. created the cutest lima bean etching that we also presented to Liv this weekend. I loved the use of craypas and the content inspired by a former blog post. Thanks Meg!

About Me

My Photo
When I am not busy helping non-profit organizations raise money online to change to the world, I leverage my status as a DC native (and expert Googler) to recommend products, restaurants, recipes, and shops (in addition to other things I find mildly diverting) in my blog, Wild and Crazy Pearl. The photos and witty banter are all mine, and don't belong to my lovely employer. I spend too much money on Itunes and lots of time in Planned Parenthood board meetings. My favorite possession is the cobalt blue Kitchen Aid mixer I used part of my Bat Mitzvah money to buy (it is still going strong). I also enjoy wearing hooded sweatshirts, drinking grapefruit juice, and falling asleep with the TV on.
